ABOUT NAVIGATE CHOICE™
Where clinical complexity meets structured decision-making
Who We Are
NAVIGATE CHOICE™ is a physician-designed clinical decision architecture developed to support values-driven decision-making in high-stakes care environments. The framework structures how patients, families, and care teams navigate complex medical decisions by clarifying goals, aligning expectations, and strengthening shared understanding during moments of clinical uncertainty.
Modern healthcare is often defined by urgency, fragmentation, and competing priorities across teams and care settings. In these environments, critical decisions frequently occur without a clear structure for integrating patient values, clinical realities, and treatment possibilities. NAVIGATE CHOICE™ introduces a grounded decision architecture that helps bring clarity and alignment to these moments of complexity.
Developed at the intersection of hospital medicine, palliative care, and health systems strategy, the framework is designed to support decision-making in serious illness, transitions of care, and treatment planning. Its purpose is not to replace clinical judgment but to strengthen it through structured guidance that helps patients, families, and clinicians navigate difficult decisions with greater clarity and shared understanding.
NAVIGATE CHOICE™ reflects a commitment to care that is informed, patient-centered, and grounded in both clinical evidence and individual values. It offers a structured approach for navigating clinical complexity with clarity, dignity, and intention.
Our Story
NAVIGATE CHOICE™ emerged from the realities of modern clinical care, where some of the most important medical decisions are made under conditions of stress, uncertainty, and limited time. In hospital settings and serious illness care, patients and families are often asked to make life-altering choices without a clear structure to guide understanding, alignment, or next steps.
Through years of clinical practice, it became increasingly evident that the greatest gaps in healthcare are not always technical. Medicine has developed remarkable diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities, yet far less attention has been given to the structure of decision-making itself. Conversations occur, but they are often fragmented across clinicians, care settings, and moments in time.
NAVIGATE CHOICE™ was developed to address this gap. The framework provides a structured way to align patient values, clinical realities, and treatment options when important medical decisions must be made.
Grounded in real clinical experience and shaped by the ethical complexity of patient care, NAVIGATE CHOICE introduces a more intentional approach to navigating serious medical decisions. Its purpose is to help patients, families, and care teams move through moments of uncertainty with greater clarity, shared understanding, and trust.
At its core, NAVIGATE CHOICE™ reflects a commitment to a healthcare paradigm in which patients are not passive recipients of care, but informed participants in decisions that shape their lives and health.

MEET THE FOUNDER/CEO
Kafi Wilson, MD, MHA
Dr. Kafi Wilson is a physician leader, hospitalist, and healthcare strategist focused on improving how complex medical decisions are navigated in modern care environments. Her clinical experience spans hospital medicine, hospice and palliative care, and healthcare administration, giving her a unique perspective on the clinical, ethical, and structural challenges that arise when patients, families, and care teams must make difficult medical decisions under conditions of uncertainty.
Through years of frontline clinical practice, Dr. Wilson observed recurring breakdowns in how high-stakes medical decisions were discussed, structured, and ultimately made across care settings. Conversations often occurred too late, documentation was fragmented, and responsibility for critical decisions frequently became diffuse across teams and transitions of care.

These experiences led her to develop NAVIGATE CHOICE™, a physician-designed clinical decision architecture that supports values-driven decision-making in complex care environments. The framework introduces structural clarity into serious medical decisions by aligning patient values, clinical realities, and care team responsibilities within a repeatable decision structure.
Dr. Wilson’s work focuses on bridging the gap between clinical communication and decision structure in healthcare. Through clinical insights and strategic analysis, she examines how decision infrastructure shapes medical practice and how more intentional frameworks can improve clarity, alignment, and outcomes in high-stakes care.
Her work sits at the intersection of clinical medicine, ethics, and healthcare system design, with the goal of helping patients, families, and care teams navigate difficult medical decisions with greater clarity and confidence.
